Webinar - How can we use ISA100 in safety and process applications with regulations written for wired technology?
This webinar describes the ISA100 standard, applications in general and the possibilities of using it for SIL2 wireless gas detection, including real life examples.
The standards are often written for wired devices. This includes segregation, cable routing, redundancy, and many more topics. In the final part of this presentation, we will offer thoughts and suggestions on the challenge of applying these standards to wireless solutions.
This Webinar was recorded by the WCI and is provided on their website in the Learning Center.
Webinar - Safety Integrated Systems with ISA100 Wireless Gas Detection
Safety Integrated Systems with ISA100 Wireless Gas Detection: From Concept to Case Study, was the title of a Webinar given by GasSecure and hosted by the Wireless Compliance Institute (WCI) in August 2018.
This Webinar was recorded by the WCI and is provided on their website in the Learning Center.
9th International Gas Analysis Symposium 2017
Gas Analysis is the leading international symposium and exhibition for gas analysis, manufacturers, technical staff and end-users, presenting you the latest developments in laboratory, process analysis, metrology and sensor technology and their applications.
GasSecure was invited for a technical presentation with the title "MEMS technology for safe, wireless infrared gas detection". This presentation may be downloaded here.
ISA Process Control & Safety Symposium 2015
The annual process control and safety symposium did take place in Houston, TX in November 2015. GasSecure - A Dräger Company - was invited to present in the "Adoption of Wireless for Safety" session held by the Wireless Compliance Institute (WCI). The presentation of the technical paper with the title 'Wireless Gas Detection Systems in the Context of Safety Critical Applications" is available here.
ISA Analysis Division Symposium 2014
This long-running spring symposium, sponsored by the ISA Analysis Division, continues to offer an outstanding forum for the discussion of new and innovative processes and other analytical techniques, developments, and applications.
The 59th annual analysis division symposium was held in Batton Rouge, LA in May 2014 and GasSecure was invited to give a talk with the title "New wireless IR gas detector for SIL2 applications using MEMS technology" in the Emerging Technology Session of the symposium.
The presented paper can be downloaded here.
Applied Industrial Optics 2012
GasSecure was invited to present the latest developments at the Applied Industrial Optics Conference hosted by The Optical Society in Monterey, CA.
The Applied Industrial Optics conference offers a different networking and knowledge-sharing experience with a focus on the utilization of photonics and optical technology to solve real world problems.
GasSecure's talk with the title "Wireless infrared gas sensor" was given in the Energy and Applied Optics session of the conference.
The abstract can be downloaded here.
EOSAM 2012
GasSecure, was invited to speak at the European Optical Society Annual Meeting 2012 in Aberdeen, Scotland, UK.
Launched in 2006, and since hosted every even year by the OPTO exhibit in Paris, the EOS Annual Meeting (EOSAM) has established itself as a major European event for the Optics & Photonics community with more than 600 attendees. This year it was decided to move to Aberdeen as a centre for Europe’s oil and gas industry.
GasSecure's talk was given under the Topical Meeting "Optical Systems for the Energy & Production Industries" and the title was "Test installation of first wireless infrared gas detector for oil and gas industry"
Wireless Summit conference Norway 2012
This conference is an important meeting place for users of wireless
field instrumentation and for companies that are planning to deploy
wireless systems.
Amongst others Equinor (formerly Statoil) shared their experience with wireless instrumentation: "Our experience shows that
installation, configuration and integration is fast and simple. And commissioning costs are lower than for wired instrumentation"
GasSecure gave a presentation on SafeWireless gas detection. Extract from the presentation can be downloaded here.
