Webinar - adoption of wireless for safety   03 Dec 2015

GasSecure's CEO Knut Sandven will be one of the presenters for this exciting webinar covering wireless technology used across the globe in a growing variety of safety applications. The ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute (WCI) will present best practice guidelines for wireless safety deployments and present six wireless safety case studies from GasSecure, Yokogawa, and Honeywell. This webinar is a condensed version of popular tutorials that were presented at the 2015 ISA Process Control and Safety Symposium.

GasSecure and Yokogawa provide SIL2-certified wireless gas detection system for LNG facility   23 Jul 2015

The latest edition of Automatisering magazine includes a comprehensive article about GasSecure after the acquisition by German gas detector giant Dräger. Bottom line: GasSecure remains committed to further research and development in the field of ultra-low power, wireless gas detection out of their Oslo headquarter. GasSecure achieves a world first with SIL certification in wireless gas detection   18 Jun 2015

GasSecure are pleased to announce that their GS01 wireless hydrocarbon gas detector has been certified by third party assessor Exida as SIL 2 capable per IEC 61508 : 2010 parts 1-7. Going further the assessment also supports the use of PROFIsafe communications to allow a fully certified SIL 2 loop to a control system, which is a world first for a wireless gas detector. The SIL certificate and documentation are now available on Exida's website.

GasSecure at Achema 2015 exhibition   3 Jun 2015

GasSecure invites you to the Achema 2015 – the leading show for the process industries – in Frankfurt, Germany to see and talk about the GS01 wireless combustible gas detector. The GasSecure GS01 will be on display as part of a wireless gas detection system at Dräger’s stand B65 in hall 9.1. GasSecure staff will be present at the stand for application and technical discussions on Monday and Tuesday. Note that the ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute - a non-profit industry organization that provides educational information, technical support, and compliance testing for the ISA100 family of standards – will also showcase our GS01 wireless gas detector at stand E50 in hall 11.0.

GasSecure acquired by Dräger   11 Mar 2015

The Norwegian venture-backed company GasSecure AS is sold to Dräger Holding International GmbH for approximately 500 MNOK. The company will strengthen Dräger’s portfolio within gas detection with its wireless gas detector for the oil and gas industry. The sale is the proof of GasSecure’s success both in the market and as a venture backed investment.

GasSecure GS01 gas detector assessed for offshore grit blasting operations   12 Jan 2015

During life extension projects the fabric of the main structure of operational platforms will
require maintenance or alteration. This will often require a rolling campaign of grit blasting
over several months. This work will severely impact gas detection systems and specifically any
open path / line-of-sight (LOS) detectors where the beam will be blocked. Operators need an
alternative, robust and flexible supplementary gas detection system. The GasSecure GS01 has
been tested specifically to meet this demand and with minimum budget impact.
